Massapequa Park Village Mayor Camillo Giannattasio is among six applicants appearing before the Village’s Zoning Board of Appeals March 28. The Mayor is asking permission to maintain an existing 13-foot, 7-inch of 5-foot solid PVC fence with a 1-inch lattice topper along the north property line into the required front yard setback at his home at 15 Van Buren Street.

Other applications include:

•a request by Benny Alibrandi of 2112 Belvedere Dr., who is asking for a variance to construct a covered porch that encroaches more than the allowed 5-feet into the 25-feet front setback;

•a request by Colleen Tierney of 59 Third Ave., Massapequa Park for a variance to construct a covered porch that encroaches more than the allowed 5-feet into the 25-feet front setback;

•that of Patricia Savona of 351 Broadway for a variance to install an in ground swimming pool with less than required front yard and rear yard setback. Savona also wants to install a 6-foot solid PVC fence on an existing 18-inch retaining wall with less than required front yard setback.
