Lieutenant Governor for the Long Island South Central East Key Club Division Nicole Costanzo recently attended a meeting of The Kiwanis Club of Massapequa, sponsors of Key Clubs in Seaford, Massapequa and Plainedge High Schools. Costanzo, a senior at Seaford, oversees 12 Key Clubs in the Levittown, Seaford, Massapequa, Bellmore and Plainedge areas. She stepped down at lieutenant governor on Saturday, March 24 at the New York District Key Club convention at Kutsher's. Costanzo was invited as a guest of the Massapequa Kiwanis, to report on the many successes of her year. Kiwanis also sponsors Builder's Clubs in junior high and middle schools, Circle K Clubs at colleges, and recently developed K-Kids for the elementary schools, with the belief that the sense of helping others begins early in life. The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) recognized the Massapequa School fall 2000 boys cross-country team as scholar athletes. Any varsity team that has a collective average of 90 percent or better may apply for this prestigious award. The cross-country team was selected as the champions in the boys cross-country division with a 97.795 overall cumulative average.
