NYSPHSAA recognizes MHS cross-country team
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) recognized the Massapequa School fall 2000 boys cross-country team as scholar athletes. Any varsity team that has a collective average of 90 percent or better may apply for this prestigious award. The cross-country team was selected as the champions in the boys cross-country division with a 97.795 overall cumulative average. Massapequa also scored another first place award with the girls field hockey team and two second place awards with the boy’s football team and the girls volleyball team.
