Sunrise Mall in partnership with Long Island Blood Services is holding a blood drive Monday, April 23, 3 to 8:30 p.m. The blood drive will be held in the blood center’s mobile bus unit which will be parked outside the Dime Savings Bank entrance to the mall.

Donating blood is easy and completely safe. The entire donation process takes only an hour and includes a mini-physical which includes blood pressure check, temperature reading, pulse check and iron count. To donate blood you must be between the ages of 17 and 75, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in basic good health. Every donor should eat well and have plenty of fluids before donating. All donors must have ID with signature or photo and know their social security number.
