Cindy R. Martin, resident of Massapequa Park
Cindy R. Martin, nee Hennings, a resident of Massapequa Park, died in a tragic automobile accident March 27, 2001. She was on her way home after dropping off her children at the home of her ex-husband at the time of the accident, which occurred on South Coleman Road, Centereach.
Mrs. Martin grew up in Wantagh and attended schools there. She had been living in Massapequa Park with her brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Ellen Hennings, and was described as a devoted mother, sister and friend.
"She touched everyone’s life and we will miss her and keep her in our hearts forever," said her brother Martin.
Mrs. Martin has recently started a new job at the U.S. Post Office in Sound Beach.
In addition to her brother and sister-in-law, Mrs. Martin is survived by her children, Kenneth 16, Greg, 15 and Jenny, 12; her brothers Kurt and his wife Kathy, Frederick and his wife Kay; her dear friend, Kenneth Martin; her nephews, Andrew, Eric and Daniel Hennings and her companion, James Salvatore.
Her mother and father, Florence and Fred Hennings, predeceased her.
Mrs. Martin reposed at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, Merrick Road, Seaford. A religious service was held there Saturday, March 31, followed by interment at Grace Church Cemetery.
