Post CALENDAR OF EVENTS The following are a list of public meetings and special events for the coming week: SATURDAY, September 29
•Massapequa Festival For Kids and the Community: Sponsored by the Massapequa Coast Little League and St. Rose of Lima CYO, 3 p.m., John J. Burns Park front softball field. The festival will benefit the NY State World Trade Center Relief Fund. Free food, beverages, games and contests for the kids with prizes, American flag hats and pins and Silent Auction from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Coaches softball game and rockin’ country music with the Roadhouse Band. The event concludes with an Interfaith candlelight memorial service at 7 p.m. at the Mustang’s football field. 100 percent of donations will be given to the fund.
SUNDAY, September 30
•Massapequa Park 26th Annual Harvest Fair: Noon to 5 p.m., raindate October 7, at Brady Park. Shuttle bus from Municipal Parking Fields to the fair; line dance entertainment; The American Legion 40 and 8 Locomotive will provide free rides; clowns and balloons, craft vendors and refreshments. •Registration for North Massapequa Fire Dept. Rag-A-Muffin Costume Parade: Registration takes place at the Italian Feast Festival in N. Massapequa at the fire department booth Sunday, September 30, and Friday, October 12, 7 to 9 p.m. at Fire Prevention Open House; Sunday, October 21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fire House Dept. Headquarters, 1000 N. Broadway and late registration at 11 a.m., Sunday, October 28 at the start of the parade at N. Nassau Ave. and N. Broadway. The parade will take place October 28 at noon, no raindate. All children must be registered to participate.
