To our Muslim neighbors Dear Editor:
To our Muslim neighbors Dear Editor:
We are united with you in our grief and united, too, in our need to be healed of that grief. Sectarian conflicts must not control any of us - not if we are all, first Americans.
The evil mentality which does great harm and calls it good is our common enemy. We read in the first chapter of Genesis that God, the one creative power, made all good.
Evil has no place in this perfect creation. the one God/Allah is with us and we rise up, together, against the terrorism which so stridently abuses your religion.
At a special service on Friday, September 14 at the large mosque in New York City, the Imam opened the service by quoting the Bible. He stated that he knew the Bible says that there is a time for peace and a time for war. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that there is a time for terrorism. He then asserted that nowhere will one find such a notion in the Koran either. Surely, God/Allah is a God of love, peace and comfort. Our love for you, our neighbors, remains strong.
