The Farmingdale school district welcomed back alumna John Lorentz as the new assistant superintendent for business at the start of this school year. Starting out at East Memorial Elementary School, Lorentz graduated from Farmingdale High School and went on to pursue a successful career in education. Before returning to Farmingdale, he spent two years as assistant superintendent in the Connetquot central school district.
