MHS Girls varsity volleyball end season 15-2
The Massapequa High School girls varsity volleyball team completed their 2001 season with a record of 15-2 and claimed the titles of Conference I and Nassau County Class A Champions for the second year in a row. The Nassau County Coaches Association chose Kerry Krohn as the Nassau County Most Valuable Player. She, as well as Kristin Hoffman, were named All-County. Additionally, both girls were selected for the New York State All-Tournament team. Meaghan Joyce received All-County Honorable Mention, while Megan Zuena and Kerri Weinstein were given All-Conference honors. CarolAnn Habeeb, who has been the varsity coach for 14 years, was chosen as the Coach of the Year. Aside from their athletic performance and accomplishments, the team has a cumulative GPA of 95.
