J.H. West Students Learn First Aid

On Friday, November 30, 2001, students from J.H. West Elementary School in Plainedge, who are Webelos in Cub Scout Pack 689, received first aid and basic life support training during their den meeting at St. James Church. Patrice Perricone, R.N. at New Island Hospital and Debbie Torres, R.N. at Winthrop Hospital and BLS instructor for the American Heart Association, instructed the boys in basic life support, including breathing and compression techniques, using Resuscitator Annie.
