WMCC to hold holiday craft fair

For more than half a century, a popular community event has been the annual holiday fair of the Wantagh Memorial Congregational Church, 1845 Wantagh Ave., two blocks north of the railroad. This year it will be held Saturday, November 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Parish Hall, which is wheelchair accessible.

Visitors find the fair a convenient source of unique holiday gift items, both domestic and imported. They include home cooked pastries, jams and jellies. Also available will be jewelry, some of which is handmade and thus one-of-a-kind items. Other gift displays will be extensive Christmas decorations, bric-a-brac and dry soup ingredients for do-it-yourself soup chefs.

In addition, for their own use, fair-goers can enjoy a raffle and the church kitchen will sell luncheon items.
