	Harvey and Monica Wiener, of Massapequa, left, are shown meeting with Richard Turan, president/CEO of the Nassau Health Care Corporation to present a donation to the Trauma Center at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC).  Mr. Wiener had asked his friends to write a check as a donation to NUMC instead of bring a gift to his retirement party.  Their daughter, Amy, had been critically injured and brought to NUMC's Trauma Center.  She has since recovered and the family wanted to express its appreciation for the care and compassion that was provided for Amy. Assemblyman Labriola, a Berner High School graduate, was inducted for extraordinary achievement in the field of public service.  Noonan, a Berner High School graduate, who is currently a columnist for the Wall Street Journal and former special assistant to president Ronald Reagan and speechwriter for George Bush Sr. was inducted for extraordinary achievement in journalism and writing.  Supervisor Venditto is a 1998 inductee of the Massapequa High School Hall of Fame.
