In the picture, left to right, Elaine Nelson, past president; John Beck, library custodian; Lynn Matotta, president and Kathleen Grammarosa, chair lady are shown putting the Butterfly Garden at Massapequa's Central Avenue library to sleep for the winter. Grammarosa plants and nurtures the reading garden for all who come to visit. This garden was started over 10 years ago by the fort Neck Garden Club. The ever-changing colors and plantings provide an oasis in the different seasons for resting awhile with a good book or just one's thoughts. This is one of the many things the Fort Neck Garden Club maintains for the Massapequas. For information on becoming a member, call 799-1655.
