Plainedge High School students and faculty, led by the High School marching band, kickline, colorguard and cheerleaders, marched from Schwarting Elementary School to the High School football field during Plainedge’s annual Homecoming parade on October 25. Homecoming was organized by Student Council advisor Keri Widman. Class advisors Dave Groblewski, Rachel Lidowitz, Phil Orlando, Jen Candela and Gina Plaza also participated.

Each of the classes decorated a car; the art club had a float and students from several clubs and organizations also marched. Schwarting Elementary School’s float was led by Principal Eileen Collins, faculty, staff and PTA. Also marching were students from Eastplain and West Schools. They were joined by the North Massapequa Fire Department. This year’s Homecoming Court included Cori Borsack, Alana Garritano, Jackie Lane, Mary Palermo, Erin Trinidad and Bobby Bory, Joe Brayuha, Chris Dethwick, Vinny Minnicci and Bobby Stalzer. During halftime at the football game, Cori Borsack and Chris Dethwick were crowned Homecoming king and queen.
