•Both locations of the Massapequa Public Library will be closed on Sundays during the summer as of June 20.

•Primrose Productions will perform Lonesome Traveler at the Harbor Lane Library, tonight, Wednesday, June 30, 8 p.m. Adapted by Doris Willens from her book Lonesome Traveler: the Life of Lee Hays, this musical focuses on the legendary folk groups Thea Weavers and the Almanacs.

•Paintings by Roberta Salomon will be on display in the Downstairs Gallery of the Harbor Lane library during the month of July.

•Both locations of the Massapequa Public Library will be closed Independence Day, Monday, July 5.

•On Thursday, July 8, 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. the movie Mona Lisa Smile will be shown at the Harbor Lane Library. The movie is about a free-thinking art teacher who teacher conservative 1950s Wellesley girls to question their traditional societal values.

•The library will be closed Sundays for the summer.

•Watercolors by Dominique Volpato will be on display in the Gallery for the month of July.

•A boating safety course will be held Thursday, July 1, 7 p.m. and continue for five weeks. The fee is $40 per person. The course sponsored by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Learn to be a safer boater and save money on your insurance. Seating is limited and registration is required. All students will receive a certificate of completion. Checks should be made payable to Flotilla 13-12 Coast Guard. No refunds.

•On Friday, July 2, the movie Something’s Gotta Give with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton will be shown 1 p.m. You can bring your lunch. No one will be admitted before 1 p.m.

•On Wednesday, July 7, the Arthritis Foundation will present an informative talk about arthritis, long-term care, legal documents and other important topics. All are welcome. Seating is first come, first served.
