N.C. Leg. Peter Schmitt
Massapequa Park Mayor James Altadonna, who also serves as treasurer of the Nassau County Village Officials Association (NCVOA), recently had the opportunity to discuss some of the more important issues facing Nassau County and Massapequa Park residents with Peter Schmitt, Republican minority leader of the Nassau County Legislature. The NCVOA represents 64 incorporated villages with more than 430,000 residents and associate members in the cities of Glen Cove and Long Beach.
Schmitt was the guest speaker at the NCVOA’s June general membership meeting, held at the Westbury Manor. He explained the positions of the legislature’s Republican minority members regarding the county’s fiscal health and other topics including the Nassau County Medical Center and the Nassau County Police Department.
