Nassau County Legislator Dave Mejias (D-North Massapequa) named Connie Fisher, one of 19 honorees recently recognized for their accomplishments at the Nassau County Legislature’s Women: Trailblazers of the New Millennium awards.

Fisher has been a mainstay of the Woodward Parkway PTA for many years. She has been an active participant on their PARP shows and has served in a legislative position on many different committees. She presently serves on the Nassau Region PTS as the Region Secretary and has held position such as Business Manager, Registrar and Public Relations. In her own community she is a member of the Viceroy Civic Association serving as a block captain and is the scholarship chair.

Legislator Mejias said of Connie, "she is one of the unsung heroes of our community and is truly deserving of this award."
