Junior Girl Scouts Troop 2403 fingerprint to keep kids safe

2005-07-13 / People/Social

Junior Girl Scouts from troop #2403 at Birch Lane Elementary School, Massapequa Park, fingerprinted over 1,000 children as part of their community service project in an effort to help keep children everywhere safe. This endeavor took over six months to complete and enlightened over 1,000 children to the dangers associated with strangers. The girls gave out over 1,000 of their own pamphlets alerting children to "Stranger Dangers," and performed skits to enrich their project. Senator Charles Fuschillo, Jr. and Assemblyman Joseph Saladino were so impressed with the girls’ project that they invited the girls to their office.

Pictured, left to right, back row, are Leader Jackie Stolfi, Assemblyman Joseph Saladino, Marie McKiernan, Kayla Mathisen, Senator Charles Fuschillo, Jr. and Leader Francesca Imbrogno and in the front row are Margaret Dippolo, Jessica Stolfi, Jillian Grennan, Jennifer Imbrogno and Lauren Patruno. Missing from the picture are Kelly O’Brian, Danielle Roamer and Daniella Tompkins.
