Marian Schaefer, of Massapequa Park, died January 28, 2006. Survivors include her husband Charles Schaefer; her stepchildren Christine Cody and her husband Kenneth, Charles and his wife Jessica and James and his wife Theresa; 9 grandchildren; her brother Ian McGibbon and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Schaefer reposed at the Massapequa Funeral Home, 1050 Park Blvd., Massapequa. A funeral mass was said Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, Massapequa Park. Interment was in St. Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Maurer Foundation for Breast Health Education, 800 Port Washington Blvd., Port Washington, NY 11050.
