Robert J. Connors, of Massapequa, died January 28, 2006.

Mr. Connors was a coach for over 35 years with the Massapequa Soccer Club and was an active volunteer and Board member for Mercy First Children’s Home.

Mr. Connors is survived by his wife Patricia; his children Robert P. and his wife Elizabeth, Michael A. and his wife Kathleen and Suzanne Chimento and her husband Thomas; his brothers Joseph and John Connors and his grandchildren Robert, Samantha, Victoria and Maggie.

Mr. Connors reposed at the Massapequa Funeral Home, Inc., South Chapel, 4980 Merrick Rd., Massapequa Park. A mass was said Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, Massapequa. Interment was in Grace Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Mercy First, 525 Convent Rd., Syosset, NY1 1791 would be appreciated.
