The families of Shawn P. Jones and Lisa Romano, both of Massapequa Park, announced their engagement on December 25, 2005.

Shawn and Lisa are graduates of Massapequa High School and Dowling College. Shawn is with the New York City Police Department and Lisa, who received her masters degree from Dowling, is a high school math teacher.

Lisa is the daughter of Rosanne and Robert Romano and Shawn is the son of Katherine and Robert Jones.

A 2007 wedding is planned.
