St. David’s preschoolers build ice castles

2006-03-01 / Schools/Sports

Children who attend St. David’s Evangelical Lutheran Church’s three-and four-year-old preschool classes joined together for a class project to build ice castles. According to Robin Lever, director of the school, the children made the ice in various shapes at home. The day they were to work on the project the children brought them to school and placed them in a dry water project table, arranged in shapes, sprinkled with kosher salt to adhere pieces together and brushed with different food coloring. Lever added that the children enjoy class projects that are in keeping with the seasons of the year.
