The Lions Club of Massapequa Park is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a gala dinner dance, Friday, May 19, honoring the club and its four charter members: Fred DeLuca, Harry Jacobson, Dr. Howard Scherer and Dr. Milton Welt.

Lions have continued to serve our local community, nation and the world through fundraising and service projects for 50 years. Lions are especially dedicated to and involved with the Eye Bank of Long Island, the Guide Dog Foundation and the Vacation Camp for the Blind.
