Maria DeRita, of North Massapequa, died May 19, 2006. She was 90 years old.

Mrs. DeRita is predeceased by her husband Vito. Survivors include her children Frank and his wife Evelyn and Philip and his wife Cookie; her sisters Minnie Busacca and Mary Brown; her grandchildren Frank, JoAnn, Robert and Michael and her great grandchildren Nicole, Tommy, Jilly, Nicole, Alexander, Michael, Christopher, Joey, Joey and Makayla.

Mrs. DeRita reposed at the Massapequa Funeral Home, North Chapel, 1050 Park Blvd., Massapequa Park. A mass was said Monday, May 22, 2006 at Maria Regina RC Church, Seaford. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
