Local Scholars Make the

Laura Beth Geiler Laura Beth Geiler At the May 21 commencement of Manhattan College, Riverdale, four local residents were awarded bachelor's degrees including Kevin Chmura of Massapequa, Jenna Daly of North Massapequa, Laura Alicia Kushmock of North Massapequa and Kristen K. Sylvester, of Farmingdale.

Laura Lipari, of Massapequa, has been named to the dean's list at Muhlenberg college, Allentown, Pennsylvania for the fall 2005 semester. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Giuseppe L. Lipari and a graduate of Massapequa High School.

Madalyn J. Perry, of Massapequa, received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology at the May 13 commencement of Millersville University of Pennsylvania.

Providence College, Providence Rhode Island, awarded undergraduate degrees to the following local residents: Christopher Hoelzer, of Massapequa, received a bachelor of arts degree in political science and

Kevin Kusterer, of Massapequa Park, received a bachelor of science in finance.

Named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Connecticut are the following local residents: From Massapequa are Diana Boyle, Cristina Colletti, Lisa Gallo, Jessica Hurst, Ashley Krebs, Claudia Levine, Dean LoGiudice and Kaitlin McSwiggan; from Massapequa Park are Danielle Bonagura, Stephanie Davila, Ashlee Falco, Erika Feldman and Stacey Lembo; from North Massapequa is Danielle Hansen and from Farmingdale are Dawn Miller, Lauren Misuraca and Michelle Strecansky.

Farmingdale State University held its

Farmingdale Foundation and Alumni Association Student Association Student Scholarship Reception recently. The following local residents were awarded scholarship: David Beleski and Allison Arcuri of Massapequa, Laura Beth Geiler of Massapequa Park and Thomas Zona and Richard Lepik of Farmingdale.

 A n g e l a DiTrani, of Massapequa, a graduating at Syracuse University's L.C. Smith college of Engineering and Computer Science was recently recognized with the ECS Alumni Association Alumni Association Service Award and the Outstanding Achievement Award in Chemical Engineering at the school's convocation in May.

Peter Marques, of Massapequa, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Springfield College, Springfield, Massachusetts.

Janessa Myers, of North Massapequa, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Lasell College, Newton, Massachusetts. A member of the class of 2007, Myers is majoring in fashion and retail merchandising.

Danya Endres, of Farmingdale, graduated from Mount Ida College, Newton Massachusetts, May 19. She received a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising and marketing.
