The Harbor Lane Library offers programs on an ongoing basis including aerobics and toning classes, Mondays, 7:30 p.m.; Tournament Scrabble, Mondays, 11 a.m..; Let's Talk, a discussion group for seniors, Friday, 1 p.m.; strength training classes for seniors, Thursday mornings, 10:30 a.m. and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m; Mah Jongg, 6 p.m. and line dancing, Fridays, 10:30 a.m. Contact the library for details.

Both locations of the Massapequa Public Library will be closed Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4.

The Library will present a free Concert Under the Stars at Brady Park, Lake Shore Drive and Front Street, Wednesday, July 5, 8 p.m. A performance by We Three combines original sounds and orchestrations of the big swing bands on disk with live performance of six instruments and voice. Bring your lawn chairs. In case of rain, the program will be held in the Harbor Lane auditorium at 8:15 p.m.

For the month of June, paintings by Farmingdale Adult Education will be on display in the Gallery. For the month of July works by the residents of PLUSGroup Home will be on display in the Gallery.

The Farmingdale Library offers computer classes for adults. Contact the Library for details.

The movie Walk the Line, rated PG-13, will be shown Thursday, June 29, 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 30, 1:30 p.m. The doors open one half hour in advance.

On Thursday, June 29, 7 p.m., Family Book and Cook, will be held for all ages. There will be stories about ice cream and they you will make a treat to enjoy. Registration is required.

On Monday, July 3, 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. a walkin craft will be available in the Children's Department for all ages, while supplies last. Proof of residency is required.

The short story group will meet Monday, July 3, 10:30 a.m. Join in a lively discussion of short stories. Copies are available at the reference desk. All are welcome.

The Library will be closed Tuesday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

the writers group will meet Wednesday, July 5, 7 p.m. all writers are encouraged to come prepared to read what they have written and to share ideas with others. All are welcome.
