Vincent C. Restituto, who was raised in Seaford and lived in Massapequa, enjoyed a full life before Multiple Sclerosis left him incapacitated.

The retired U.S. Army Captain and stockbroker died May 11, 2006. He was 51 years old.

Born in 1954 in Seaford, he moved to Seaview Avenue in Massapequa in 1993 and lived there for 13 years.

After graduating from LaSalle Military Academy and Georgetown University, he went into the Army and worked as a commander of Chinook helicopter pilots. He retired in 1982 after being diagnosed with MS, became a stockbroker and worked for several firms in the Bellmore area.

He was an avid boater before his illness and received many awards for his many years of service as a dedicated board member of the L.I. Chapter of National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Mr. Restituto leaves behind his sister Donna Castelli and her husband Arthur; his niece Meredith and his nephew Douglas; as well as many friends.

He reposed at the Charles O'Shea Funeral Home, 603 Wantagh Avenue, Wantagh on May 15, 2006. A Funeral Mass was said May 16, 2006 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church followed by entombment in St. Charles Cemetery.
