Massapequa hoop stars Suzi Fregosi and Ashley Caiafa helped put Long Island on the competitive girls' basketball map as a member of the AAU Long Island Renegades that went undefeated to capture the championship of the prestigious Penn State Blue Chip Tournament recently in State College, Pennsylvania.

Massapequa High School stars Ashley Caiafa , shown front row, far left and Suzi Fregosi, front row, far right, helped Long Island's powerhouse AAU basketball team, the Renegades, win the recent Penn State Blue Chip Tournament in State College, PA. The Renegades, a collection of Nassau and Suffolk public and private school all-stars from Locust Valley to Riverhead, placed first in the U-16 age bracket, which included 64 teams from across the U.S.
