SEPTA to hold open house

The Massapequa Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA) will hold its annual open house on Wednesday, September 20, 7:45 p.m. at the McKenna Senior Center, Second Avenue, Massapequa Park. Guest speakers will be Lucille Iconis, assistant superintendent for elementary education, and Sue Woodbury, assistant superintendent for secondary education. Iconis will update the audience on the expansion of the co-teaching program at the McKenna school and the new pilot collaborative model program at the Birch Lane School. Woodbury will discuss the new prep program at the Berner Middle School. A question and answer session will follow. All parents residing in the Massapequa school district are welcome, refreshments will be served.

Massapequa Special Education Parent Teacher Association (SEPTA) is a support organization serving every family who receives special education services in Massapequa.
