Pequa Kiwanis Club completes wheelchair ramp for local resident

2006-08-31 / Events & Calendar

The Kiwanis Club of Massapequa recently completed a wheelchair ramp for a local Massapequa senior, who has been in a rehabilitation hospital for several months. The club does many such handson construction projects, funded in part by a New York State Legislative Grant from New York State Senator Charles Fuschillo Jr. Additional funds raised are used by the Massapequa Kiwanis Foundation (501C3) for many projects and programs in the community, such as supporting Key Clubs in three area high schools, Massapequa, Plainedge and Seaford.

The Kiwanis club of Massapequa which currently meets on the first and third Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. at Katy Dalys, does many things in your community. To find out more and get involved, contract Public Relations chairman Bill Moseley at 967-836, email at banohoy@msn.com or visit www.kiwanis.org.
