Joseph Licata,'Pequan & North Amityville Fire Co. member

Longtime North Amityville Fire Company member and Massapequa resident Joseph J. Licata died September 30, 2006. He was 77 years old.

Born September 13, 1929, he was a longtime Massapequa resident and a 23-year member of the North Amityville Fire Company. He was a board member for 16 years according to the department who said "he was loved by all and will be greatly missed."

Mr. Licata leaves behind his son, Joseph V. and his wife Nancy; and his grandchildren: Bryan and Randy; as well as many loved ones and friends.

He reposed at the James Funeral Home, Massapequa, on October 3, 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, Massapequa, on October 4, 2006 followed by private cremation.
