Mental health assistance

The Mental Health Association in Suffolk County, Inc. has announced its newest support group, a parents support group for parents and guardians caring for an adolescent and/or a teen diagnosed with mental illness to be held Wednesdays, 5:30 p.m. at South Oaks Hospital, Amityville. The group is a place to share common experiences, questions, worries and resources.

This group is made possible by the Task Force for Integrating Schools and Mental Health and is funded by Grant No. Q12MO5003A to Amityville Union Free School District from the U.S. Department of Education.
