Mary Livermore, 84, longtime Massapequa resident Mary Livermore, who lived on Forest Avenue in Massapequa for more than 50 years, died May 11, 2006. She was 84 years old. The mother of three was a voracious reader who loved classical music and was a talented mandolin player according to her family. For more than 20 years she worked as an office manager at Universe Appliance on Merrick Road in Seaford. "She was like the adopted office mom of everyone that worked here," said Ursula Toscioni who worked with her for about five years. "She was fun and sweet and I was blessed to have known her." Mrs. Livermore leaves behind her daughters: Kathleen Stockwell and her husband Gerald and Virginia Kirby and her husband James; her siblings: Vincent Scinta, Ralph Scinta, Arthur Scinta and Ida Scinta; her grandchildren: Bart, Jason and Timothy Kirby, Scott, Merrily, Robert and Jeremy Hunt; her great grandchildren: Jason, Wyatt, Travis and Olivia Voogt, Griffin and Harrison Kirby and Scott Hunt; as well as other loved ones and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Arthur and her daughter, Merrily. Mrs. Livermore reposed at the Charles G. Schmitt Funeral Home, Inc., 3863 Merrick Rd., Seaford, on May 14, 2006. A funeral was held May 15, 2006 followed by interment in L.I. National Cemetery. Obituary notices are printed without charge, as space permits.
