Thunder strikes first loss
The Massapequa Red Thunder suffered their first loss of the season to the Merrick Rebels.After trailing 1-0 at halftime the boys from Massapequa played a geat second half of soccer. Nick Vinberg scored both goals in the second half off long passes from Ryan Dashkoff and Patrick Trupiano. Thomas Kiernan and Matt Eicher both made goal saving tackles, but in the end the Red Thunder lost 3-2.
Great goaltending from Billy Fox and Nick Roth kept the game close and the entire the is awaiting the rematch in November.
