November Distinguished Artists concerts Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Rose Marie Walker announced that residents can enjoy Distinguished Artists concerts during the month of November. As always, the concert series is free of charge to residents. On Sunday, November 12, the Long Island Piano Duo will perform at the Locust Valley Library, 170 Buckram Rd. The performance will begin at 2 p.m. On Saturday, November 18, the Island Chamber Symphony will perform at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library, 999 Old Country Rd., beginning at 8 p.m. On Sunday, November 19, Eranga and Prianga will perform at the Hicksville Public Library, 169 Jerusalem Ave., beginning at 2 p.m.
Councilwoman Walker noted that the Distinguished Artists concert series is sponsored by the Cultural and Performing Arts (CAPA) Division of the Town of Oyster Bay's Department of Community and Youth Services. Anyone interested in obtaining a schedule of free concerts should call 797-7900.
