An anonymous gift of appreciation

Dear Editor:

On Saturday, November 11, my friends and I, all WWII veterans, met for our weekly breakfast at CJs, as we have been every Saturday morning for three years. Each week we meet to solve the problems of the world and exchange war stories. A family of four sat at an adjacent table and perhaps heard our war stories as we related them to one another. As we were finishing breakfast, Arlene, the waitress, said, "No check today. The gentleman

at the next table wants you all to be his guest on Veterans' Day to thank you for your service."

All of us were deeply moved and we went to his table to thank him for his generosity. I want to publicly thank the man that I only know as "Ralph", his lovely wife and two beautiful children. Angelo Roncallo on behalf of myself,

Henry Saudino, Felix Alfino

and Vincent Floriani.
