David M. Pabon inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame

On October 13, David M. Pabon, a 1996 graduate of Massapequa High School, was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame by his alma mater, Binghamton State University.

The former All-American soccer forward ('94), and program's all-time points leader with 106 points, was twice named University's Athlete of the Year.

Tim Schum, David's former coach at Binghamton was quoted in the Athletic Hall of Fame newsletter saying David was a "terrific player."

"Moreover, Dave loved to train and worked to improve throughout his career," said Schum. "On top of that he was an unselfish player, a great competitor and as his career moved on, he became a team leader."

The former soccer phenom, who was recruited out of high school by coach Schum, in 1992, graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics in 1996, and has since then made the career move from the field at play, to the trading floor at large.

Dave makes his home in Toronto, Canada with his wife, Tammara, and their four-month-old son, Gabriel. He is an assistant trader on the institutional equity trading desk with Investment Technology Group, Inc. (ITG) Canada.
