+Free income tax preparation will be offered from AARP for seniors on Thursdays, through April 12, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Avenue branch and on Fridays, through April 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring a picture ID, last year's tax return, W-2 form,s, 1099 forms and all pertinent records to get your free income tax help.

+The artwork of Iufen Wei will be on display in the Downstairs Gallery of the Harbor Lane Library for the month of March.

+On Sunday, March 25, 2 p.m. the Harbor Lane Library will host Sister Act, a musical salute to female singers.

+A teddy bear craft class will be held Monday, March 26, 7 p.m. at the Harbor Lane Library. Preregistration and a $16 materials fee is required.

+The Harbor Lane Library will host a a seminar presented by ARS Financial Service on How to Choose the Correct Beneficiary, Wednesday, March 28, 7 p.m.

+The Harbor Lane Library will host a lecture entitled The Lost Years of Jack Kerouac, presented by Patrick Fenton, Wednesday, March 28, 2 p.m. Farmingdale 116 Merritts Road 249-9090

+Registration is underway for a bus trip to Madame Tussaud's in Manhattan, Tuesday, April 17, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The fee is $69 per person. After the museum, the group will have lunch in Chinatown at the Peking Duck Inn.

+On Monday, May 21, the library has organized a bus trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for an Amish in home dinner and dairy tour. The cost is $77 per person. Registration is underway.

+The volunteers are in the library Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon from Senior Connections. Help is available to find out what you can to to avoid a lot of health problems of the older generation.

+Beginning tap dance will be offered Thursday, March 22, 11 a.m. the fee is $10 per person payable by check only to the Farmingdale Public Library.

+On Sunday, march 25, 2 p.m. Jill Cohen will present her concert titled Popular Divas of Our Times. Enjoy songs from artists such as Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, Celine Dion and more. Seating is first come, first served.

+The movie Woman of the Year will be shown Monday, March 26, 2 p.m.

+On Monday, March 26, 7 p.m. Lois Buonagurio returns with her intermediate knitting class. Bring number nine needles and worsted weight yarn. Registration is underway.

+The movie Happy Feet, for all ages, will be shown Tuesday, March 27, 7 p.m.

+On Tuesday, March 27, 7 to 9 p.m. ceramic artist Rosemarie Attard will demonstrate how to drybrush a 12 inch by 12 inch bunny with acrylic paints. The $15 materials fee includes the bisque bunny, all paints and instructions. Registration is underway.
