Longtime former Massapequa resident Vincent Edward Scinta, Jr. died April 7, 2007 in Sarasota, Florida. He was 82 years old. During World War II, he proudly served in the Air Force Special Services and later, as a civilian, enjoyed many hours piloting his Cessna. He lived on Sycamore Street in Massapequa for 36 years and moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1981. More ... Linda Carol Scinta, a world traveler who lived in Massapequa for more than 22 years, died on January 22, 2007. She was 55 and graduated Massapequa High School in 1969. Born November 24, 1951, she was raised in Massapequa and went on to live an adventurous life visiting and living in England, Italy, Germany, Haiti, Oklahoma, New Orleans, Pennsylvania and finally Tennessee and Florida.
