It had been nearly five years since Edgardo Alfonzo could say he played for a professional baseball team in New York, but now as a member of the Long Island Ducks, Alfonzo is finally back home. Alfonzo was a mainstay in the New York Mets' infield for almost a decade after being signed by the team as an undrafted free agent in February of 1991.
