Massapequa Park Village Merchants Association

Where commerce and community work hand-in-hand

We hope you are all enjoying a wonderful summer. Please don't forget about our great annual Street Fair sponsored by the Massapequa Park Merchants Association in conjunction with the Incorporated Village of Massapequa Park.

Mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday, August 11 and 12. Our Street Fair will be held on those dates and we are sure you will not want to miss it. It should be an exciting time for all. Tell your friends and family to join us for a very exciting two days of fun and shopping. There will be over 100 vendors. The hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Come and enjoy the food court, crafts, pony rides, music, balloons, face painting, prizes, ice cream eating contest on Sunday at 3 p.m., blow up rides and lots of amusement rides for the kids.

We will be having a karate demonstration by Tiger Schulmann's Karate Center on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday the students at the American Black Belt Academy will be performing for your entertainment pleasure. Be sure not to miss these performances.

Our own merchant members will be putting out tables in front of their stores with lots of special sale merchandise.

At this time we would like to welcome some new stores that have joined us recently. Good luck to Jeff at Millers Place Restaurant on Park Boulevard and can be reached at 557- 2650. What a fantastic menu he has and his place is just beautiful. A big welcome to Chris at Fitness Together, 543-4303. Chris offers one on one training and fitness to his clients and his new facility is top notch. Good Old Gold, 798-5151, has become one of our new members and Helen has some of the most beautiful jewelry in the area. Please stop by her store whenever you have that special gold or diamond gift to buy for a loved one. We are delighted to welcome Lighthouse Insurance to our association, 541-9600. Michael is the manager there and he will be happy to help you with all of your insurance needs. Good luck Michael.

I hope to see you on Park Boulevard soon and I say once again, please patronize your local stores. We need you and depend on you to keep our Village a thriving and wonderful place to shop.
