+The Harbor Lane Library offers programs on an ongoing basis including aerobics and toning classes, Mondays, 7:30 p.m.; Tournament Scrabble, Mondays, 11 a.m..; Let's Talk, a discussion group for seniors, Friday, 1 p.m.; strength training classes for seniors, Monday mornings, 10:30 a.m. and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m; Mah Jongg, Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m.; line dancing, Fridays, 10:30 a.m. and Let's Talk, a discussion group for seniors, Friday, 1 p.m. Contact the library for details.

+The Harbor Lane Library together with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 13-12, will be presenting a Basic Boating Safety Course on various dates. There is a materials fee of $50. Sign up by calling 541-8497.

+The Harbor Lane Library will host The Basics of Organizing, a workshop presented by professional organizer Judi Cohen, January 17, 7 p.m.

+The Farmingdale Library offers computer classes for adults. Contact the Library for details.

+The volunteers are in the library Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon from Senior Connections. Help is available to find out what you can to to avoid a lot of health problems of the older generation.

+For the month of January works by the Long Island Scribes will be on display at the Library.

+On Thursday January 11, 1 p.m. audiologist Dr. Alison Hoffmann will discuss hearing loss and the many treatments available for it. Registration is underway.

+Julie Weiss will present Yoga Tales for age four through first grade, Thursday, January 11, 7 p.m. Yoga Tales is a blend of yoga and fair tale favorites emphasizing happiness, kindness and friendship. Registration is underway. Proof of age is required for preschoolers.

+A snowy fun family craft will be offered Saturday, January 13, 10:30 a.m. for all ages with a parent. Registration is underway.

+The musical A Year With Frog and Toad will be presented Sunday, January 14, 2 p.m. for all ages. Seating is first come, first served.

+The teen Advisory Board will meet Tuesday, January 16, 7 p.m. Help decide what audio-visual items should be ordered. Attendance at this program will earn you one hour of community service.

+A few tickets to see A Chorus Line on January 24, 2007, 10 a.m. are still available. The cost is $119.25. Contact the Library for availability.

+On Sunday, January 14, 2 p.m. composer/pianist Paul Joseph and vocalist Merilee Kaufman will perform songs of Tin Pan Alley's Swing Era including Billie Holiday, County Basie, Peggy Lee, Bobby Darin and many more. Free tickets are available.
