Tyna Collins: Former ÔPequan & World Traveler

Former Massapequa resident Tyna Collins, who loved to be active and dance, died December 12, 2006 at The Knolls of Oxford in Ohio. She was 80 years old and had lived inMassapequa until 2004.

She was born October 12, 1926 in Astoria, Queens, to Constanty and Franceska Sliwka, and had five sisters. She was very athletic and enjoyed swimming, horseback riding, bowling and dancing with her husband. Mrs. Collins also loved travel and managed to travel the world prior to her illness in 1995. She and her husband had moved to Ohio to be closer to their son.

Mrs. Collins leaves behind her husband of 55 years, Robert; her sons: Robert S. and his wife Patty of Oxford, Ohio and Craig P. and his wife Anne of Clinton, North Carolina; her grandchildren: Rob- ert Logan and Emily Rose; her sisters: Regina Lukasik and Blanche Maximentz; as well as other loved ones and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and sisters, Theresa, Anne and Sophia.

Mrs. Collins reposed at the Smith & Ogle Funeral Home, Oxford, Ohio on December 16, 2006 followed by a Mass

of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oxford, Ohio. Interment followed in Woodside Cemetery, Oxford, Ohio.
