ToBay distinguished artists January concerts announced Oyster Bay Town Councilwoman Rose Marie Walker announced that residents can enjoy three more Distinguished Artists concerts in the month of January. As always, the concerts are free of charge to residents. Sunday, January 21 brings Naomi Zeitlin to the Hicksville Public Library, 169 Jerusalem Ave., beginning at 2 p.m. She will perform "A Mixed Bag" from belting Broadway to soulful Jazz. On Sunday, January 28, the American Chamber Ensemble presents 'Sneak Preview' at the Massapequa Public Library, Bar Harbour Building, Harbor Lane, Massapequa. The performance be- gins at 2 p.m. The final Distinguished Artists performance of January will take place on Sunday, January 28 at 3 p.m. at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Public Library, 999 Old Country Rd. Dean Karahalis and the New York Brass Choir will present Bach to Broadway.
The Councilwoman noted that the Distinguished Artists concert series is sponsored by the Cultural and Performing Arts (CAPA) Division of the Town of Oyster Bay's Department of Community & Youth Services. Anyone interested in obtaining a schedule of free concerts should call 797-7900.
