      Longtime Massapequa Park resident William Robert Armet died December 8, 2006 after fighting a long, valiant battle with cancer. He was 84 years old. Born in Niagara Falls, New York on April 29, 1922, he proudly served in the Navy during World War II, based in Key West, Florida.

      Former area resident and pilot Hugh Wilson died December 24, 2006 at his home from complications of prostate cancer in Fallbrook, California. He was 85 years old and had lived in Massapequa for 19 years before moving to the west coast in 1973.
