New Island Hospital to hold Sunshine Ball

New Island Hospital Sunshine Ball will be held on Saturday, March 10, at The Woodlands located in Woodbury. The hospital is honoring orthopedic surgeon Michael Carroll, MD for his exceptional contributions to orthopedic excellence and dedication to outstanding patient care, and to Lewis Rosenberg, MD in tribute to his strong leadership as President of the Medical Staff and member of the Board of Directors from 2004 to 2006. Proceeds from this event will benefit The Circle of Friends Development Fund for the purchase of ultrasound equipment and portable x-ray equipment.

The Ball begins at 7 p.m. with a Champagne or Martini greeting and flows to a cocktail hour consisting of exquisite passed Hors d'oeuvres, Tuscan table, pasta station, hot buffet, captain's carving board and Pacific rim stir fry. The fun moves to the Grand Ballroom at 8 p.m. with continuous music from a live rock band, a formal dinner for the dis- criminating gourmet, elegant desserts and high-end raffles offering airline tickets, sports events, jewelry, nights in Manhattan and days with the kids on Long Island.

The New Island Hospital Circle of Friends Development Fund is a 501 (c) (3) charitable fundraising extension of the not for profit New Island Hospital. Having as its President, Aaron E. Glatt, MD, this fund is designed to enhance and augment the excellent clinical services and programs at the hospital, and to bring innovative healthcare to the communities it serves. The hospital is seeking to partner with individuals, local community businesses and industry and become members and/or supporters of the Circle of Friends Development Fund.
