+The Harbor Lane Library offers programs on an ongoing basis including aerobics and toning classes, Mondays, 7:30 p.m.; Tournament Scrabble, Mondays, 11 a.m..; Let's Talk, a discussion group for seniors, Friday, 1 p.m.; strength training classes for seniors, Monday mornings, 10:30 a.m. and Thursdays, 10:30 a.m; Mah Jongg, Tuesdays, 6:30 p.m.; line dancing, Fridays, 10:30 a.m. and Let's Talk, a discussion group for seniors, Friday, 1 p.m. Contact the library for details.

+The Harbor Lane Library together with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 13-12, will be presenting a Basic Boating Safety Course on various dates. There is a materials fee of $50. Sign up by calling 541-8497.

+The Library's young adult department will be offering a Safe Boating Course for patrons ages 10 to 18, free of charge, to be taught by Ron Stehn of U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary 13-11. The course will meet on seven Thursday evenings, 7 to 9 p.m. beginning February 1 with no class on February 22. The course concludes March 22. Call Peter Cirona at 798-4607, extension 305 with questions or to register.

+The Farmingdale Library offers computer classes for adults. Contact the Library for details.

+The volunteers are in the Library Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to noon from Senior Connections. Help is available to find out what you can do to avoid a lot of health problems of the older generation.

+Nicole Tzen will offer a class on yoga, Thursday, February 1, 6 p.m. the fee is $5 payable by check to the Farmingdale Public Library. Registration is underway.

+Friday Fun at the Library, for all ages with a parent, will be offered Friday, February 2, 10:30 a.m. The program includes songs, crafts, movies and more. Seating is first come, first served.

+On Sunday, February 4, 2 p.m. pianists Yelena and Vladimir Polezhayev will present their new program, Grand Waltz from Vienna and Hollywood. Seating is first come, first served.

+Learn how to select and care for houseplants, including lighting, temperature and more with Maria Cinque, Monday, February 5, 7 p.m.

+On Monday, February 5, 7 p.m., Tony Scarpa will return with his guitar, keyboard and crates of musical instruments for you to play for all ages and family. Registration is underway.
