Joseph Scialo: thirty-year resident of Massapequa Park

Joseph C. Scialo, who worked as a delegate for Pan American and Delta airlines died January 2, 2007. He retired from the airlines after 30 years of service. The Massapequa Park resident was 73 years old.

Born in Brooklyn, he moved to Massapequa and raised his family here.

He is survived by his companion Angela Grutta; his children, Joseph M. and his wife Linda; Lea Mafucci and her husband Joe; Steven and his partner Robert; Joseph and Sandy Grutta; Victor and Julie Grutta and AnnMarie Grutta; his grandchildren: Danielle, Cara, Joseph, Ashleigh, Anthony, Jonathan, Nicole, Joseph and Angela; his siblings: Nick and Mary; as well as other loved ones and friends. His wife Angelina predeceased him.

Mr. Scialo reposed at the Franklin Funeral Home in Franklin Square. A Funeral Mass was said January 6, 2007 at St. Catherine of Sienna R.C. Church followed by interment in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
