First Lady Libby Pataki donates childrens' books

Christmas came early at the Hagedorn Little Village School. Libby Pataki, New York State First Lady, in conjunction with Georgiana Sena, president of the Wantagh Kiwanis Club and a resident of Farmingdale, presented Pataki's latest children's book Madison in New York to the school December 12.

Barbara Feingold, Ph.D. executive co-director accepted the books along with Jill Bakalor, director of special events at the school. As part of Kiwanis International's Read to Children program, Sena received the books from the First Lady and has been presenting them to local schools for teachers to read to preschoolers and kindergarten children.

Pataki has served as First Lady of New York State Since January 1, 1995. During her tenure, Pataki has also co-authored tow cultural tourism books for children Artfully Taught and NYC ABC. Pataki is the mother of four children, Emily, Teddy, Allison and Owen.
