Massapequa Elks sponsor Hoop Shoot contest

On November 11 the Massapequa Elks Lodge #2162 was proud to sponsor the Elks Hoop Shoot contest at the Fairfield School in Massapequa. This is a well-sponsored and attended event for the children ranging in ages eight to 12 years old. The listed children have advanced to the District level on Long Island and the winners from there will go on to the State, Regional and finally the National competition. The National finals will be held in Springfield, Mass and the winners will have their names enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fames.

List of first, second and third place winners: are Greg Hartmann, Fairfield School; Matthew Hartmann, Fairfield School; Devin Hussey, Fairfield School; Alex Mahlmeister, Fairfield School; Nicholas Valentini, Fairfield School; Michael Stashin, Birch Lane School; Jesse Finkel, Berner School; Max Goldmann Berner School; Amanda Stashin, Berner School; Nick Festa, Searington School; Joseph Cairo, Beach School; Mikaiya Moore, Home School; Ihnacinse Grady, Franklin School and Gaielle Marazzo, Seneca School.
